GracieGracie is a sweet 6 year old Lhaso Apso in need of a good home. Gracie was adopted last June, when she was rescued from a puppy mill. Her new pet parents can't take care of her. They adopted two very active little boys and realized that Gracie would be better in a home without small children, 5 yrs or less, and other pets. She has no problems with older kids and plays with the nephews who come over. She loves to play. Her favorite toys are squeaky ones. She also loves to fetch, although you can't throw it very far. You see, Gracie has dry eye. She got this because of the neglect in the puppy mill. She's doing much better now that she gets drops in her eyes twice a day. The vet even said her sight has improved. She gets around just fine. Her absolute favorite thing to do is cuddle. She loves to be on your lap and have her belly rubbed. Gracie has had all her shots and has been spayed. Also, she has a skin allergy. She takes one small dose of prednisone every other day to keep her scratch free. The adoption fee of $250 includes current vaccines and sterilization. ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.
Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.
Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
