PenelopeHi, my name is Penelope. I am the sister of Gideon, Rossi, Reed, Morgan and JJ. We were taken to a shelter and our owners said that our mother ran away. Of course, we do not believe that but that is what they said and luckily a rescue person was on her way to rescue some other dogs and she had room so she took us back with her. LUCKY FOR US!! My foster mom thinks that we are Golden Retriever/Lab mixes. We are 7 weeks old as of 3/9/10 and weigh between 5 and 8 lbs. We will be about 50-55 lbs. when full grown. I am one of 2 females in this litter (Morgan is my sister). I look very much like my brother JJ. We both have very soft, fluffy hair. I weigh about 6 lbs. I am a typical puppy as I love to spend my day playing with my littermates, eating, sleeping and going potty. I am getting the hang of going potty on the newspapers in the room. I really enjoy playing with all the nice toys our foster mom gives us to play with. We got to go outside today and that was alot of fun. We all had alot of room to run and play. There was even a little snow left to romp in. I have had my first puppy shot and have been dewormed (yuk). I am a sweet girl (my foster mom tells me that all the time) and I love to be held and I like to have my belly rubbed. I would love a nice fenced in yard so that I can go outside and run and play without having to be tied up. I enjoy the company of other dogs and I even like cats!! People and kids are great too!! I will be available for adoption after March 20, 2010. The adoption fee of $250 includes current vaccines and sterilization. ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.
Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.
Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
