ReedHi, my name is Reed. I am the brother of Gideon, Rossi, Morgan Penelope and JJ. We were taken to a shelter and our owners said that our mother ran away. Of course, we do not believe that but that is what they said and luckily a rescue person was on her way to help some other dogs and she had room so she took us back with her. My foster mom thinks that we are Golden Retriever/Lab mixes. We are 7 weeks old as of 3/9/10 and weigh between 5 and 8 lbs. We will be about 50-55 lbs. when full grown. Unlike my brothers and sisters, I have shorter hair and I look very much like a Black Lab. I am smaller than Gideon, Rossi and Morgan. I weigh about 5 lbs while they are closer to 8 lbs. I love to play with my brothers and sisters and I love all the nice toys our foster mom gives us to play with. I am working on going potty on newspapers and I have had my first puppy shot and have been dewormed (yuk). I am a cuddly guy and enjoy being held and I love my belly rubbed. I would really like a nice fenced in yard so that I can go outside and run and play without having to be tied up. I enjoy the company of other dogs and I even like cats!! People and kids are great too!! I will be available for adoption after March 20, 2010. The adoption fee of $250 includes current vaccines and sterilization. ********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.
Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.
Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
