This is little Darla! She is 10 weeks old as of 4/5/10 and weighs 12 lbs. She will probably be about 55 lbs when full grown. She is the sister of Dani and Dover, also on this site. She has had her first 2 puppy shots and has been dewormed three times. This is her story.

Darla's mom is a Shepherd mix (her picture is posted). She was living in Indiana and running free. She got pregnant and had the puppies and when they were 3 weeks old, the mom and her pups were dumped at the county shelter one cold evening because the owner did not have the money to pay the surrender fee to the shelter. They went into rescue and were sent to a foster home in western Michigan. The pups were then transported to Silver Lake when they turned 8 weeks.

Darla is a very pale brindle color. She is petite, like her sister. She is a sweet little girl. All of the pups are doing well on their housebreaking (paper trained). They love to play with toys and enjoy running in the yard chasing each other!! They are good with other dogs and even cats. They love people and kids - no toddlers please.
