Little Miss Zoe is an 11 year old Mini-Daschund. Her owner has recently passed away from an extended illness. A close family friend has taken her in over the last couple of months to provide a loving home for her – the family is happy to keep her in their home, however, they are hoping to find a situation that is better suited to her needs.

Zoe is very meek and mild. Very small – around 9 lbs. Her owner was retired and had an extended illness – therefore – Zoe is used to being home with someone most of the day. She’s a cuddle-bug and loves to sit on laps and snuggle and nap. She’s a wonderful, sweet companion. The family that has had her for the last two months is an active family – mom and dad work full time outside of home, two older kids in the house – with work, school, etc. schedules, as well. Zoe would be best suited in a home with a retiree or a stay at home mom, or someone with a home-based business, etc.

Zoe had extensive dental work completed in April – 8 teeth removed – she came through like a champ! She is generally a healthy pup, but has a heart murmur. As stated above, she is a senior. She’s potty-training – the breed is difficult to train – previous owners, although they had her since a pup … had not completely trained her … so we are “teaching an old dog new tricks!” She’s doing well on her potty-training … she doesn’t ask to go out – but will potty when put outside. She is accustomed to being with other dogs – we are unaware of her socialization with cats or any other pets.
