Max is a 9 year old black lab. He is a 111 pound huge baby with a heart to match. He walks very well on a leash. He follows all commands, such as sit, come, no and lay down. Max loves to get his ears and tummy rubbed. He is too big to jump into a human bed, so he enjoys sleeping on a comfy blanket and dog bed.

Max eats 2 scoops of hard food both in the am and pm. He gets along with other doggie friends, but is not is not a fan of cats. He is looking for his furever home, one that would shower him with all the love and attention that he deserves. Max just told me that is is looking forward to meeting his new family!

We show most of our adoptable pets at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday from 11 to 3. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.


Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.


Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.


MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
