+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ My name is Skylar and I'm a pretty 7 y/o Staffordshire Terrier who was turned into Genesee County Animal Shelter when I was of no further use. I was not available for adoption because of mammary tumors which the staff had no money to treat or facilities for my after care, so they allowed me to be turned over to a wonderful lady who promised to have me treated and care for me until a loving forever home could be found.  I've now had both surgeries and am looking for a family who will love and care for me.   I'm easy going, laid back, seem to get along with the other dogs and cats and absolutely adore people.  I love walks but pull a bit on the leash, but do well with correction.   I will need a high quality diet, quarterly x-rays for the 1st year to make sure I'm clear and a loving family to watch over me.   If you have a loving heart and want to rescue a loyal and deserving companion that will love you forever, check me out. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to preapproved applicants only. Adoption Fees *Senior: 9 & up  $100-$175 *Adult: 2-8          $250 *Young adult: 6 months to 2 years $275 *Puppies:  6 weeks to 6 months  $300   Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
