She is shy and reserved around people, but warms up after awhile. She loves other playful canine companions, and she needs an adult home with another dog. Katy is very cuddly and playful, house trained and makes a terrific companion to humans and dogs alike. However Katy has a very strong prey drive and is strongly inclined to chase smaller animals, especially if they run. She is a very nice girl and watching her play is a pleasure. When she cuddles in your lap your heart just melts and you wonder how anyone could be this sweet. If you really want a nice companion who will make you feel like the best person on earth, then Katy might be the girl for you. BUT!!! she MUST. MUST. MUST have a physical fenced yard in an adult home with another playful dog. If you are interested in Katy, she will be at Petsmart, Utica most Saturdays between 11 am and 3 pm. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption Fees Senior : 9 & up $100-$175 Adult : 2-8 $250 Young adult: 6 months to 2 years $275 Puppies: 6 weeks to 6 months $300 Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
