Hello, my name is Sage. I am a 1.5 Year Old German Shepherd Mix who is just as SWEET as can be. I am a big doggie who weighs 52 Pounds, but that doesn't mean I can't be a Lap Doggie - Right? I am an OUTGOING and FRIENDLY Doggie who has a TAIL WAG and a SMILE for everyone I meet. I am the type of dog that will WALK RIGHT up to a new person, just to say hello! My family says I FOLLOW THEM from ROOM to ROOM and will SNUGGLE with them in BED or on the SOFA - I am such a SWEET GIRL! I am a SMART DOGGIE! I am HOUSETRAINED and CRATE TRAINED. In fact, I will go into my Crate when you say "Go to BED" - how awesome is that! I know the SIT and DOWN commands. I also know a few TRICKS too. I can "Shake Paw, Spin" and "Go to Middle" - which means sit in front of the person I am with. I am SUPER SMART and EAGER to PLEASE - I LOVE to LEARN - won't you teach me more tricks? I am a FUN Doggie! I love to go for WALKS. I will pull initially, but about 15 minutes into the walk I get better. I also like to play TUG with my toy. I am good with it - I let my family start and stop the game - it is all in FUN! I will even "CHASE the BALL", but I haven't learned to bring it back yet. I hope my new family likes to PLAY and go for WALKS - that would make me SOOOOO HAPPY!!! I am a LOVING Doggie! Like I said before I LOVE people. I will approach EVERYONE with a Tail Wag and a SMILE - all in hopes that they will PET ME! I am very AFFECTIONATE and love to get HUGS and of course love to be PET. I even like to CUDDLE, or at least SIT by YOUR FEET! I am such a SWEET DOGGIE - won't you come meet me? My Energy Level! I am an active young doggie who calms down readily after a Walk or Play session. I do require regular exercise to be at my best. I have the normal amount of energy for a young doggie - I just want to make sure you know I need some play time and walks to be happy and healthy!! I LOVE CAR RIDES! My family said I LOVE to go for Car Rides. Anything to be with my FAMILY. I just lay down in the back seat and enjoy the adventure - such a good girl!!! Are You the RIGHT Family for ME? I am looking for a LOVING FAMILY who will appreciate my Good Looks, Outgoing Nature, Playful Spirit, Intelligence and of course Affectionate Personality. I will do best in a home with ADULTS and/or CHILDREN over the age of 7 Years. This is because I could accidentally knock over a small child during play time. I am good with most dogs - especially if they are my size, and if they like to play. My foster parents say I chase CATS, so no kitty cats please! I am a HEALTHY DOGGIE! I am a very healthy 52 Pound Doggie who is Full Grown. I am current on my vaccinations, heart worm negative, and already spayed. I am also microchipped - all set to go to into my new home now. My Sad Story! I have a VERY LOVING FAMILY who cares a great deal about me. Unfortunately they have a Small Doggie who doesn't like to play. We ended up getting in a fight, so they want to find me another home. The sad part is I get along well with their BIG DOGGIE. All I want to do is play and have fun. So I am looking for a family who either has a Big, Playful Doggie or No Doggies at all. FYI - I go to dog training classes and the dog park - I do get along well with most doggies.
