You see my OWNER went into a NURSING HOME!!! My owner's extended family cannot keep me past October 31st. If a home cannot be found, the extended family said they will euthanize me. PLEASE HELP!!! My AWESOME PERSONALITY!!!! First of all I have SOULFUL EYES - one look into them and YOUR HEART will MELT!!! I am very SWEET and FRIENDLY too! I have a TAIL WAG and a SMILE for EVERYONE I meet! I LOVE EVERYONE and that means ADULTS and CHILDREN. Please keep reading more about me!!! I am a TRUE GENTLEMAN!!!! I am so GENTLE!!! You will just feel MY LIPS - NO TEETH - when I take a TREAT from YOUR HAND!!! I am also very MELLOW and EASY GOING!! The best part is a am very GOOD in the HOUSE!!! I just CHEW MY BONE and TOYS - I am such a GOOD BOY!!! I am a SWEETIE PIE!!! I am very AFFECTIONATE! I love to give KISSES and receive lots of HUGS! Once you start PETTING ME, I ROLL OVER for a BELLY RUB! Won't YOU open your HEART and HOME to a SWEET, OLDER DOGGIE like ME??? I LOVE OTHER DOGS! My family said that I get along well with ALL DOGS. I have been exposed to BIG, GIANT DOGS and SMALL DOGS - I get along with all of them!! I am GOOD in the CAR!! I love to go for ADVENTURES with MY FAMILY. It doesn't matter if the ride is AROUND THE BLOCK or OUT OF STATE - I am VERY happy to go for CAR RIDES with MY FAMILY. I just SIT in the BACK SEAT and enjoy the ride!!! I am GOOD for WALKS! Before my owner became very ill, he took me for DAILY WALKS. He is an 80-Year-Old MAN taking me for a WALK. Recently NEIGHBORS and FAMILY have been walking me. They all say I am GOOD on the LEASH!! I SLEEP in my BED or CRATE! I usually SLEEP in my BED right next to my OWNERS BED. I Sleep the NIGHT - VERY CONTENT as I LOVE to be with MY FAMILY!!! I am a SMART DOGGIE! I am a very SMART DOGGIE. I know the SIT command and even know a TRICK. Yes, that is right - I will SHAKE PAW when you put your hand in front of me! I am HOUSETRAINED and CRATE TRAINED too! The best part is I know how to WALK NICELY on LEASH! I am such a GOOD BOY!! I LOVE TOYS! I have a BASKET of TOYS. I am GOOD with them TOO! I play FETCH and GENTLY CHEW on them. My favorite toys are STUFFED ANIMALS or TOYS with SQUEAKERS in them!!! I am a FUN BOY!! I am EASY to LIVE WITH!! When my FAMILY comes HOME I give them a TAIL WAG and SWEET SMILE as I am always happy to be with them. I FOLLOW them from ROOM to ROOM. When they eat DINNER, I quietly wait (yes, I hope to get something yummy, but I am nice about it). When my family settles in to WATCH TV, I CURLY UP by their FEET! I will jump up on the SOFA to SNUGGLE too - if you want me to!!! When it is time for BED, I jump in my BED right next to my family. I can SLEEP in my CRATE TOO - if that is what you want me to do. Are YOU the RIGHT FAMILY for ME? I am looking for a very LOVING FAMILY who will appreciate my GOOD LOOKS, SOULFUL EYES, GENTLE NATURE, SOCIAL SPIRIT and AFFECTIONATE PERSONALITY. I get along well with EVERYONE and that includes ADULTS and CHILDREN. I get along well with other DOGGIES too! I have never lived with a CAT, but I was NICE to the CAT at the RESCUE today. So won't you come MEET ME? PLEASE give me a CHANCE!!! I have a LOT of LOVE to GIVE! I am a HEALTHY DOGGIE!!! Yes, I am an older doggie, but I am in good health. I do have a little arthritis in my back legs, but I do well on a mild pain medication. I still can jump in the CAR and GO FOR WALKS - so it is very mild. I currently weigh 55 Pounds, and I am a LITTLE CHUBBY! I need to lose about 5 pounds - but doesn't everyone? I am up to date on my VACCINATIONS, I am HEARTWORM SCREENED and I am on Flea/Heartworm Preventative. I am ALREADY NEUTERED and MICROCHIPPED TOO! I am all set to go into my new home TODAY!!! My Sad STORY! You see my owner just went into a NURSING HOME. He is 80 YEARS OLD, and could no longer care for himself or me. That makes me SOOO SAD! My owner has a few relatives, but that can't keep me. One has three dogs, and the city won't let her have any more....or she would take me in. The other family member lives in SENIOR APARTMENTS and they won't let a BIG DOGGIE like me LIVE THERE - SOOOO SAD! They are letting me stay at my original owners home, but the rent is up on OCTOBER 31st. If no home can be found in time, they said they will humanely euthanize me. They don't want to....just they don't have any where for me to go. Won't you PLEASE, PLEASE take me in? For More Information!
