Dolly is a 10 year old Rat Terrier who came to us after her parents no longer had time to care for her. She loves going on walks just as much and she loves snuggling on the couch or in bed. Dolly loves toys, playing fetch, and exploring the yard. Since she’s a terrier, she catches a scent and follows it - so a secure fence is required. Dolly is house trained but if left alone long hours accidents can happen. She loves being around her people so if you’re home more often than not, she’s your girl! Dolly is very sweet and enjoys meeting new people, men and women, in her foster home. However, she is fairly anxious and needs a calmer home to help build her confidence. A home without young children is a must. She is not crate trained and her foster parents are firm that potential adopters have no desire to crate her. She is not destructive and thrives on having a bit of space to roam when left alone. Dolly has very good manners but would greatly benefit from training to reinforce boundaries and build her confidence. She cohabitates peacefully with other dogs her size or larger - cats too! Since Dolly is in a foster home, her attendance at adoption events is not consistent due to work schedules. Want to meet her? We show most of our adoptable pets at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday from 11 to 3. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: rescueme93@yahoo.com to see if that pet will be there. Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only. Adoption Fees Senior : 9 & up $100-$175 Adult : 2-8 $250 Young adult: 6 months to 2 years $275 Puppies: 6 weeks to 6 months $300 Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
